WebGo to windows display settings and check off “Automatic display brightness” or something similar to that and it gets 10x brighter. I have the same issue. I'm guessing the audio is to do with equalisers and tuning, i.e. Mac os equalisers them to sound the best as possible. Windows is probably just using them as they would be out of the factory.
